Haniel Perugorria

Teaching Artist

Haniel Perugorria, native of Cuba, joined the MusicWorks! staff in 2016.  Mr. Perugorria earned his Bachelor’s degree in music with a major in Orchestral Conducting and Music Pedagogy from the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana, Cuba.  In addition to conducting he is also a pianist and violinist.  He has many years of experience working with students and adults teaching at the university level as orchestra and musical ensembles conductor.  Mr. Perugorria has been Assistant Conductor of Camaguey Symphony, Cuba as well as a guest conductor of Orquesta Sinfonica de Oriente and Orquesta Sinfonica de Las Villas.  Professor of Instrumentation and Orchestration at Higher Arts Institute, Havana, Cuba (the Arts University in Cuba). Professor of Chamber Music at Conservatorio “Jose White”, Camaguey, Cuba. Choir Conductor and Church Music Minister. He was also the head of Arts and Culture and the Communications Departments at the Western Conference of SDA Church in Cuba.  As a pianist, Mr. Perugorria studied music and piano performance at the Centro de Superacion Profesional y Artistica in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba.
