Social Media Marketing/PR position

Gulf Coast Symphony currently has part-time opportunity in our marketing department. This positions is available to hard working college students, or recent graduates, interested in marketing and public relations. This is an entry-level position.

The position begins in September. This is a part-time paid position; we are willing to work around school schedules. Responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and editing videos and podcasts for the web
  • Regularly posting on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter
  • Writing articles, blogs, and other materials
  • Posting and updating online information and graphics
  • Help Maintain GCS Website
  • Conducting online research
  • Assisting in generating and implementing online strategy

Requirements: Must be able to work part-time through mid-May 2018 (or longer). Occasional evening and weekend work is required. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, including writing, and an entrepreneurial attitude with disciplined work ethic. Candidates must be computer savvy. Basic video creating or editing experience if helpful, but candidate must demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn and perform these tasks. Knowledge of classical music and musical theater extremely helpful.
