Nick Dalton

Mostly recognized as the face of DirecTV bills nationwide, Nick is a mixed blood (Creek/Cherokee) award-winning actor, writer, director, concert soloist, education innovator, and cultural traumatologist whose work has been seen internationally for over the past 20 years.

Having spent most of their career helping develop over 100 new musicals, highlights include: Hair (European Tour), Legally Blonde (1st National), Hairspray (Vegas), Surf (Vegas), Maya: The Musical (Indian Tour), All My Children (recurring), 5 seasons of the NYMF, NAMT, and more. They have been seen regionally at Transcendence Theater Company, Walnut Street Theater (Barrymore nominee), North Shore Music Theatre (Pre-Bway run of Three Musketeers), Ogunquit Playhouse, Gateway Playhouse, Mason Street Warehouse, and more.

Nick has spent the last 6 years as Co-founder and Co-Director of the Hanna Institute in Sonoma, CA. This trauma informed care hub focused on uncolonizing the public health pyramid combining neuroscience with arts and culture. Nick is currently the Director of Education & Enrichment at The Naples Players.

Nick graduated from Western Michigan University with a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance, has a graduate certificate in Restorative Practices from IIRP, and was the first student to graduate from Goddard College with an MFA in Interdisiciplinary Arts and a concentration in Indigenous & De-colonial Arts. Their research was at the intersection of Native American Performance Pedagogy, Arts As Healing, and Indigi/queer Studies. Nick is also a proud member of AEA and the Anishinaabe Theater Exchange – recently joining 16 Native artists from across the country to present Mary Kathryn Nagle’s Sliver of a Full Moon, about Murdered and Missing Indigenous People (MMIP) to the American Bar Association.
