A performance of Prokofiev’s symphonic fairy tale for kids, Peter & The Wolf and Saint-Saëns Carnival of the Animals brought to life by award-winning poet and anthologist – and Cape Coral resident – Lee Bennett Hopkins. Hopkins’s extensive body of work has earned the poet numerous national and state awards, as well as recognition in the Guinness Book of World Records as “the world’s most prolific anthologist of poetry for children.” Also performing in the “Animals A to Z” Family Concert is pianist David Carlson, the 2017 Instrumental Music Winner of the Young Artists Awards.
At 1:00 PM, come dressed as your favorite animal and enjoy our Musical Discovery Zone, where you can try and play all the instruments of the orchestra before the 2:00 PM concert!
