Ladd Boris

Roger Sherman

Ladd Boris began his professional career at the age of 16, while attending the Fiorello LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts, in the movie Fame. Shortly thereafter, he pursued his operatic career as a young artist at the Sarasota Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, and Opera Pacific. This led to singing comprimario roles at several regional opera houses in the USA before taking a position as an extra chorister at the Metropolitan Opera in a new production of Götterdämmerung directed by Otto Schenk, and televised worldwide. He then made the “crossover” into musical theatre, where he landed, happily, for over 20 years performing Broadway shows and regional theatre in the United States. Some highlights include: She Loves Me (Mr. Maraczek, Roundabout Theatre 1st National) State Fair (with John Davidson, Charlie, 1st National) Phantom (with Kelli O’Hara, Cholet) as well as over 10 productions of Man of La Mancha (Sancho) regionally! He is a sought-after liturgical singer and currently has his own company working with Seniors and people living with Dementia and Alzheimer’s where he offers cultural companionship through the Arts. www.creativeartisticcompanions.com
