APPLE PIE CONCERT SERIES

Blending In: String Quartets Reimagined

What happens when two beloved string quartets break the rules?

Blending In transforms the traditional quartet experience with a bold new sound world, featuring just three string players joined by a multiple-woodwind artist as the unexpected fourth voice.

Antonin Dvorak’s American Quartet is reimagined in center focus, with an inventive instrumentation that brings fresh color, texture, and energy into the well-known masterwork.

B. SMETANA, String Quartet No. 1 (“From My Life”)
A. DVORAK, String Quartet No. 12 (“American”)

Part of our welcoming Apple Pie Concert series, this relaxed concert experience blends live music with engaging storytelling, followed by a slice of apple pie and a cup of coffee or tea shared with fellow music lovers. Come for the music, stay for the pie!
