November 6, 2026
The Southwest Florida Theatre Company kicks off its 2027 musical theatre season with Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash, running Jan. 26 through Feb. 7, 2027, at the Music & Arts Community Center (MACC) in Fort Myers.
From Johnny Cash’s unforgettable songbook comes a powerful musical journey through love and faith, struggle and success, rowdiness and redemption, and the healing power of home and family. Featuring more than two dozen of Cash’s greatest hits, Ring of Fire brings his remarkable musical legacy to life in a foot-stomping, crowd-pleasing tribute to the Man in Black.
Audiences will enjoy such beloved classics as “I Walk the Line,” “A Boy Named Sue,” “Folsom Prison Blues” and the show’s title song, “Ring of Fire.” Performed by a multitalented cast, the production paints a vivid musical portrait of Cash’s life and career, capturing the passion, grit and heart that makes his music resonate across generations.
Rather than impersonating Cash, Ring of Fire offers an authentic celebration of the man and the music, taking audiences on an exciting ride through the songs and stories that shaped his extraordinary journey. The result is an engaging concert-theatre experience that both moves and exhilarates.
The production is part of Southwest Florida Theatre Company’s 2027 season of professional musical theatre at the MACC. Known for presenting Broadway-caliber performances in an intimate setting, the company brings together professional performers from across the country, many with Broadway and national touring credits.
Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash runs Jan. 26 through Feb. 7, 2027, at the Music & Arts Community Center, located at 13411 Shire Lane in Fort Myers, just off Daniels Parkway. For tickets and performance information, call (239) 277-1700 or visit MACCtickets.org.
