Ningxin Zhan, piano
Eighteen-year-old NINGXIN ZHAN was born in Nanjing, China and started playing piano at the age of five. She studied the piano with Natalia Fillipova at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music as a scholarship student. She won the 3rd place at the 8th Shenzhen International Piano Open and was a bronze prize winner of the 3rd Huanglong International Piano Competition in 2018. She likes playing the guitar and listening to music. Ningxin won 1st Solo Prize and 1st Concerto Prize in the 2019 Virginia Waring International Piano Competition, Intermediate Division. She also won 1st Prize for playing the best Scriabin work at the competition. She has just begun her graduate studies in piano performance at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, Maryland.
