Susan Oliver

After earning orchestra and band honors at the state and regional levels in Ohio and Texas, Susan made a difficult choice to pursue a career in another field.  Now playing french horn with Gulf Coast Symphony following a 30-year career in financial services, Susan feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to play music she loves in a high-caliber organization.

Susan graduated with a degree in Mathematics from The Ohio State University. With most of her diverse career in Chicago and Columbus, Susan managed departments in Analysis, Operations, E-Commerce, Marketing, Technology, Risk and Sales Management.  Susan is excited to serve on the board and use her skills and background wherever needed.

Susan has served on several civic boards, most recently the New Resident Club of Cape Coral.  She also served on several industry-specific boards during her career.  She also is an animal shelter volunteer.

In addition to the Gulf Coast Symphony, Susan also plays with Brass Music Elements, the Bonita Springs Concert Band, and has been hired to perform at various events in SW Florida.

Susan acts as a volunteer photographer for civic groups in addition to being for hire for real estate and event photography.  She resides in Cape Coral with her husband, has two adult children, and multiple furry children.
