Michael Pasquini

Lighting Designer

Michael Pasquini (Lighting Designer) is excited to be back with Gulf Coast Symphony after designing last season’s Tosca as well as 2017’s Madame Butterfly. Based in Sarasota, FL, Michael is the assistant lighting designer and master electrician with the Sarasota Opera. This summer, Michael will return to Cedar City, Utah, home of the Utah Shakespeare Festival, where he will design Macbeth, The Book of Will, and Twelfth Night in rep in the outdoor Engelstad Shakespeare Theatre. His more recent designs include Barnum, and Pirates of Penzance for the Manatee Performing Arts Center; Black Nativity, Marvin Gaye: Prince of Soul, and Raisin for the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe; Hairspray, and Annie Get Your Gun for the Players Centre for Performing Arts; as well as Turn of the Screw for Dog Days Theatre – a part of the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training. Designs for dance include Coppelia, and The Nutcracker for the Diane Partington Studio of Classical Ballet; as well as The Nutcracker, and the Summer Intensive for the Sarasota Cuban Ballet School. Michael is a graduate of Florida State University’s School of Theatre.
