Jazz at the MACC welcomes The Jason Marsalis Quartet and vocalist Vanisha Gould for an exceptional evening of jazz on Friday, April 10, 7:30 p.m., at the Music & Arts Community Center in Fort Myers.

Acclaimed percussionist, vibraphonist, bandleader, and composer Jason Marsalis – the youngest member of the well-known musical Marsalis family – began playing drums at age six, made his recording debut as a teenager, and has since toured extensively all over the world. He has worked across genres – from Brazilian percussion to traditional New Orleans jazz – and his 2013 album In a World of Mallets reached #1 on the jazz charts.

Vanisha Gould is an acclaimed jazz vocalist, composer, and bandleader based in New York City. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Vanisha has built an international reputation for her soulful voice, nuanced songwriting, and dynamic stage presence.
