Gulf Coast Symphony’s 2026-27 Pops Season begins with America at 250: A Symphonic Celebration, Friday, July 3, at 7 p.m., at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall – a dazzling Fourth of July spectacular celebrating the greatest sounds of American music.

From the timeless strains of “The Star-Spangled Banner” to the wide-open landscapes of Aaron Copland’s Rodeo, with Broadway favorites and nostalgic American classics woven into the program, the concert also features George Gershwin’s iconic “Rhapsody in Blue” and soaring film score selections, including themes from Born on the Fourth of July and the deeply moving “Hymn to the Fallen” from Saving Private Ryan.

America at 250: A Symphonic Celebration is a musical journey through the heart of the American experience, and the evening will include a powerful tribute to our veterans and all those who have served our nation – a tribute to 250 years of music bringing us together as a country.
