October Gulf Coast Symphony Pops at the MACC

Gulf Coast Symphony presents two Pops concerts of music from film series inspired by books, starting with The Music of Lord of the Rings on Oct. 24, followed by The Music of Harry Potter on Friday, Oct 30.

On Oct. 24, immerse yourself in the sweeping cinematic scores of The Lord of the Rings with the full Gulf Coast Symphony! Concert-goers are encouraged to wear traditional garb from the realms of Middle-earth, including favorite characters from the novels and films. Concert times are 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

On Oct. 30, the Symphony performs the magical music of the Harry Potter films. On the wings of the instantly recognizable Hedwig’s Theme, travel from quiet Privet Drive to the hustle and bustle of Diagon Alley and Platform 9 3/4, then on to Hogwarts – and beyond. Concert-goers are welcome to wear muggle Halloween costumes, Hogwarts uniforms, or dress robes. Concert times are 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
