Don’t miss the rare opportunity to witness the extraordinary talents of one of Broadway’s most celebrated performers right here in Southwest Florida as Gulf Coast Symphony presents An Evening with Tony-Winning Broadway Star Joshua Henry on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2027, at 7 p.m. at Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall in Fort Myers.

Earlier this year, Joshua Henry won 2026 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for his acclaimed portrayal of Coalhouse Walker Jr. in the Broadway revival of Ragtime, as well as the 2026 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Musical, further cementing his place among Broadway’s most celebrated leading performers.

Henry, backed by his own rocking band and the full Gulf Coast Symphony, delivers an evening of music, dance, and storytelling, taking the audience on a deeply personal journey through the songs and sounds that defined his life and career – from Motown and soul music of the 1960s and ‘70s,  to some of Broadway’s best known showtunes.

Henry first received a Tony nomination for his portrayal of Haywood Patterson in The Scottsboro Boys (2011), followed by a nomination for his performance as Flick in Violet (2014) and another for his unforgettable portrayal of Billy Bigelow in the 2018 revival of Carousel.

Henry’s performance as Aaron Burr in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s groundbreaking musical Hamilton introduced his remarkable talent to an even larger audience, earning acclaim for his nuanced interpretation of one of the show’s most complex characters. His additional Broadway credits include In the Heights, American Idiot, Porgy and Bess, Shuffle Along, Bring It On: The Musical, Waitress and the acclaimed revival of Into the Woods, in which he portrayed Rapunzel’s Prince.

In addition to Henry’s extensive credits and accomplishments on Broadway, he has appeared on television and in film, including his roles as Gaston in the ABC and Disney+ production of Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration, as well as the film adaptation of Tick, Tick… Boom!
