Traveling Salesmen

Making his sixth appearance with The Gulf Coast Symphony, Wesley was previously seen in Show Boat, Oklahoma, South Pacific, Carousel, and the concert From Hollywood to Broadway. An English professor at Hodges University, he also appears locally with Opera Naples, where he has performed in Gilbert & Sullivan’s Trial by Jury, La Traviata, Die Fledermaus, La Boheme, Turandot, and Madama Butterfly, the latter of which he also sang with Gulfshore Opera. Also in Naples, he appeared in Sweeney Todd with TheatreZone. Prior to becoming an educator, he danced, sang and acted across the heartland, from The Stephen Foster Story in Bardstown, Kentucky to A Chorus Line in Media, Pennsylvania. In New York City, where he studied theatre at Wagner College, he has sung at Carnegie Hall and Town Hall, and performed Off-Broadway with the York Theatre Company. His favorite performances, however, are the non-profit Songs by Heart Foundation sing-alongs he leads for people living with dementia, and he dedicates this performance to those friends.
