FREE concerts at the MACC in December by Gulf Coast Youth Jazz Ensembles, MusicWorks!

The Music & Arts Community Center proudly announces two very special concerts coming up in mid-December, presented by the Gulf Coast Youth Jazz Ensembles and MusicWorks! string ensembles. Both concerts are FREE and open to the public.

On Monday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m., the Gulf Coast Youth Jazz Ensembles will present a free concert at the Music & Arts Community Center. The Gulf Coast Youth Jazz Ensembles are community-based jazz bands for Southwest Florida students grades 9–12 and grades 6–8, providing young musicians with expanded opportunities to perform, learn, and grow beyond the traditional classroom through focused jazz education and ensemble work.

On Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 5 p.m., the students of MusicWorks! will present a FREE concert at the Music & Arts Community Center. MusicWorks! is an El Sistema–inspired program that helps students grades 2–8 learn a string instrument and reach their full potential through intensive music study and performance in both orchestra and small ensembles.
