Jazz Youth Ensemble – Middle School
2026-27 Middle School Youth Jazz Ensemble Starts Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026!
This year the program will take place at CHALLENGER MIDDLE SCHOOL in CAPE CORAL!
The Gulf Coast Youth Jazz Ensemble is a full jazz band for students in grades 6-8 with some experience on their instrument
The Gulf Coast Youth Jazz Ensemble is a community-based jazz ensemble for students throughout the Southwest Florida region. This ensemble will provide performance and learning opportunities outside of the general classroom for those who seek to expand their musical journeys through jazz. The GCYJE will meet on Tuesdays from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. This ensemble is open to Middle School students. The Middle School ensemble will meet from August to May. Those interested are invited to register.
Requirements to register/participate:
No audition is required, but students must be proficient in playing their instrument.
Location: Challenger Middle School in Cape Coral!
Time: Ensemble meets Tuesday evenings, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm; September 15 to May 18. (Breaks for normal school holidays).
Tuition: $350.00.

4 | Select student from drop down in the blue box at top right
5 | In the search box type: Gulf Coast Symphony and press search
6 | Find and click on Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra, Inc
7 | Select a location – address that says MACC (13411 Shire Ln)
8 | Find the class you want to sign up for in the list below.
9 | Add a Quantity for the class or classes you are interested in.
10 | Scroll to bottom and click the blue “ADD TO CART” button
11 | Find and click the cart icon at top right of screen to check-out
12 | Confirm your selection and click the blue button to reserve funds
