Gulf Coast Jazz Collective presents Return to Forever: The Music of Chick Corea on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m., at the Music & Arts Community Center (MACC).

A wizard of melody and improvisation, Chick Corea was equally at home in a quiet acoustic trio and at the forefront of the jazz fusion revolution – and he excelled at both. The Gulf Coast Jazz Collective celebrates Corea’s adventurous improvisation, genre-crossing collaborations, and endlessly curious musical mind.

Led by Artistic Director and drummer, Paul Gavin, with bassist Brandon Robertson and pianist Zach Bartholomew, Gulf Coast Jazz Collective performs a variety of classics by iconic artists, as well as original works, and frequently features special guest instrumentalists and vocalists, making for the best live jazz experience in Southwest Florida. The Gulf Coast Jazz Collective performs monthly at the MACC.
