Kylan Ritchie

KYLAN RITCHIE, a 17-year-old senior, is beyond excited to be back with the Gulf Coast Symphony portraying the role of Dainty June. Kylan previously performed with the Symphony last year as Natalie in Next to Normal, her favorite role to date. A few of her other favorite professional credits include Miss Dilber/Belinda Cratchit/Dance Swing in the Cumberland County Playhouse’s Scrooge The Musical, Alice in Matilda, Jane Banks in Broadway Palm’s Mary Poppins, and Jojo in Seussical at The Roxy Regional Theatre. Kylan received the CCP Beth Threet award for outstanding young performers for her portrayal of Truly Scrumptious in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jr.. Kylan was an apprentice with the Nashville Shakespeare Festival this past summer where she was able to understudy the roles of Guiderius and Lord 2 in Cymbeline. She appeared in the Nashville workshop and the subsequent streaming premiere of the Equity Fights AIDS/ Broadway Cares in association with Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation’s Sticks & Stones, which starred Audra McDonald and Javier Muńoz. Kylan would like to thank her voice teacher, Erica Aubrey, and Scott Logsdon, her coach/mentor for their support and education. She’s incredibly grateful to her parents and grandparents, as well as everyone at Gulf Coast Symphony for making this experience possible!
