Lora Manion

Lora recently moved from Central Indiana to Fort Myers and lives in the area full-time. She and her husband Fred have been exploring the wonderful variety of performance and fine arts available in Southwestern Florida. They are excited about attending Gulf Coast Symphony’s upcoming concerts.

Lora believes in the power of musical arts to improve lives. She has taken courses about how art has the power to help us: heal from trauma or illness; express ourselves creatively; and bring joy to our lives. Lora has experienced many of these benefits, and she wants more people to enjoy and reap the benefits of Gulf Coast Symphony performances and education programs.

Lora is a practicing attorney, and she advises on utility and solar and wind energy matters. She has worked in the utility and law fields during most of her career. She earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University McKinney School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Indianapolis.
Throughout her career, Lora has enjoyed giving back to her community by helping nonprofit organizations through her fundraising and board participation. She was fortunate to have a wonderful mentor early in her career who encouraged her to actively serve the community, and Lora’s service has been personally rewarding to her. Lora and husband Fred enjoy attending concerts, traveling, and visiting art museums and botanical gardens together.
