Sam Griggs has built a career connecting his passions and is honored to serve as the newly appointed Development Manager for the Gulf Coast Symphony. He has held various fundraising positions with organizations such as the Metropolitan Opera, the Jackie Robinson Foundation, universities in New York and New Jersey and Habitat for Humanity.
As a fundraiser, Sam has effectively partnered with corporations, foundations and individuals to enable non-profits to fulfill their missions. Since 1998, he has successfully managed multiple business units of various development operations and participated in three capital campaigns.
A graduate of music programs at Rice University and New England Conservatory, Sam began his career as a tuba player. He received an MBA from St. John’s University. Sam enjoys pursing various outdoor activities in sunny South Florida and spending time with his wife Chelsia and their young son, Luke.
