A 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration

Celebrate 30 years of Creating Community Through Music! Join Gulf Coast Symphony and special guests Mark Sanders, Heather Ivy, and the Gulfshore Ballet!
The Gulfshore Ballet will perform with the Gulf Coast Symphony selections from Stravinsky’s Firebird and Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty. Comissioned for our 30th Anniversary Celebration, the GCS will perform the world premiere of Seas of Glass, written by 19 year old Frazar Henry, who grew up in Bonita Springs.
The remainder of the program will explore the multitude of styles and genres that the Gulf Coast Symphony regularly perform: Jazz, Broadway, Pop, Rock and even opera!
About the Composers
Frazar Henry
Frazar Henry is a composer and pianist who grew up in Southwest Florida and is currently a student at the Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio studying composition. Frazar composed Seas of Glass for the 30th Anniversary of the Gulf Coast Symphony.

Composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was born on May 7, 1840, in Vyatka, Russia. His work was first publicly performed in 1865. In 1868, his First Symphony was well-received. In 1874, he established himself with Piano Concerto No.1 in B-flat Minor. Tchaikovsky resigned from the Moscow Conservatory in 1878, and spent the rest of his career composing yet more prolifically. He died in St. Petersburg on November 6, 1893.
