The Gulf Coast Symphony celebrates its 25thanniversary season with the world-renowned Shelley Berg Trio, bringing his Grammy-winning artistry to a program of Gershwin classics, including Rhapsody in Blue, An American in Paris, Girl Crazy, Porgy & Bess and more.  Jazz Vocalist Kate Reid joins the Berg Trio for a selection of delightful Gershwin melodies.

Join us for a buffet dinner, A Taste of the Mediterranean, at 5:00pm  catered by Nick & Stella’s.  Held in Building J, Room 117, just steps from the lobby of the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall, the dinner includes meal, wine/coffee/tea and dessert.  Seating is limited to 100 people! This is a separately ticketed event, but you must have a ticket for the concert to participate.   $35 per person (includes fee).

George Gershwin

Born on September 26, 1898, in Brooklyn, New York, George Gershwin dropped out of school and began playing piano professionally at age 15. Within a few years, he was one of the most sought after musicians in America. A composer of jazz, opera and popular songs for stage and screen, many of his works are now standards.
