Featuring several special guest artists who live and breathe jazz funk, including a guitar and six horn players – the most horns the Gulf Coast Jazz Collective has ever had on the stage for one show – with arrangements and originals by GCJC Artistic Director Paul Gavin, this concert will be the most danceable night in the history of the Gulf Coast Jazz Collective!

Jazz Funk – the electrifying fusion of jazz’s harmonic sophistication with the deep, body-moving groove of funk and soul – produced some of the most exciting music of the 20th century, from Herbie Hancock’s Head Hunters to Jaco Pastorius’ The Chicken.
